Mrs. Almarine Moore was born May 17, 1927, to the late Eddie Martin and the late Rosa Lee Williams in Echols County.
She was a loyal and dedicated child of God. She was a faithful and active member of St. Phillip Independent A.M.E. Church for many years. Her services included being a member of the Stewardess Board, Missionary Board, Sunday School Superintendent and teacher, a member of the choir and youth director. Later in life, she joined The Church at Pine Hill. Though her health prevented her from being an active member, she was always there in spirit.
She was a mentor, a confident, and counselor to many. Someone whose love and support you could always depend. She always had your best interest heart. She was a woman of strength who had the courage not to back down from a decision she’d made. Her laughter was a source of joy and her words were warm and wise. Her children, nieces and nephews who adored her call her blessed.
On Monday, June 30, 2014, at Pruitt Health Crestwood Nursing Home, the Lord softly spoke to His servant and said, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant; enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”
