Angela Rose Collier Phillips was born August 3, 1960, in Valdosta, GA, to Marjorie Evelyn Berrian and the late Willie Mayo Collier.
Angela was a true definition of the word, kindness. When she spoke, she spoke with self-control, wisdom, discipline and care. She was a teacher in Early Childhood Education for over twenty years and had a passion for helping children reach their full potential. Angela was a co-worker with God, in the divine task of molding and forming the young and growing minds and hearts entrusted to her care. She was a catalyst for change and touched so many lives with her sweet smile and her kind, gentle words of encouragement. Her children will forever hold fast to their mother’s favorite sayings: “You get better results when you are nice but if you want something done, do it yourself” and the other was demonstrated on Monday, June 11, : “If God brought me to it, He will see me through it.”
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by one sister: Darlene Manning and one brother: Henry M. Collier.
Angela leaves to cherish precious memories, spouse: John Wesley Phillips, Sr.,; three children: Clendon Lamard Phillips of Atlanta, GA, Kasi Phillips of Gainesville, FL and John Wesley Phillips, Jr. of Gainesville, FL; mother: Marjorie Evelyn Berrian; five sisters: Donna Cunningham of Atlanta, GA, Barbara J.
