Annie Bell James

Ms. Annie Bell James was born April 30, 1931, in Cogdell, GA to the late Mamie Lee Thompkin and the late Christopher James.

Ms. Annie Bell loved her family and those whom she came in contact with. She showed herself friendly. Filled with compassion and interest in others, Ms. Annie Bell James dedicated her life while working in healthcare. Recognizing her ability to relate well with people, Ms. Annie Bell James knew that it was her calling. She lived her life on and with purpose. As the teaching of Christ, she believed all things should be done with decency and in order.

Ms. Annie Bell James, a devout Christian, loved the Lord with all of her heart, mind and soul. She girded herself with honor and strengthened her ability with patience. She was a giver of herself and considered her own desires last.

On Friday, October 20, the Lord called His faithful servant from earthly labor to heavenly rest.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two sisters: IzaBella Miller and Merita James and five brothers: Robert James, Eddie B. James, Daniel James, Prince James and Christopher James.

Ms. Annie Bell leaves in admiration of her love and memories, one brother: Leo James; a special niece: Ava Hogan of Valdosta, GA; a special nephew: Christopher James of Decatur, GA; a special friend: Gloria Crawford; and a host of other family members.

The Celebration of Life for the late Ms. Annie Bell James will be held Friday, October 27, 2017 at 11:00am in the Godfrey Funeral Home Chapel.

Pastor J. Bernard Braswell II will officiate

Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
