Annie Register Miller

April 17, 1923 — January 19, 2014

Annie Lucille Register Miller was born April 17, 1923 in Valdosta, GA, to the late George and Ruth Register.

She was different, she was special, unique in a thousand ways. She was loving, caring and thoughtful, and we’ll miss her all our days. Annie’s life motto was “no-nonsense”. She could be a jokester and enjoyed a good laugh, especially if the laugh was “on you”. Though “Mother” is such a simple word, it’s meaning is great. For everything we are today is because a mother’s love showed us the way. They enrich our lives in so many ways. Mothers, set us straight and then set us free. May we always remember our “Annie”.

The Lord granted Annie eternal rest, Sunday, January 19, 2014.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: David L. Miller, Sr.; one son: James H. Miller, Sr.; one daughter: Diane McKeithen, and one sister: Grace Tann Hicks.

Annie leaves to cherish her memories her loving children: David Miller (Pearl) of Decatur, GA, Carlton Miller (Petrette) of Gainesville, FL, Gloria Lee, Ruth Deloach (Samuel), Irene Miller and Ronnie Gambles, all of Valdosta, GA; three loving sisters: Queen Helen Williams of Washington, DC, Gertrude Herring of St. Petersburg, FL and Eleanor Palmer of Valdosta, GA; twenty one grandchildren; thirty seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
