A Time To Be Born...
Annie Bell Pierce was born on July 16, 1933 in Valdosta, Georgia to Garfield and Katie Bell Jones.

A Time to Learn...
Annie Bell received her education through the Valdosta City School system.

A Time to Love...
Annie Bell married the late Willie B. Pierce. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. Five children were born out of this matrimony: Pastor Willierine Pierce, Wade Pierce, Leon Pierce, Benjamin Pierce and Wendolyn Louise Nathan.

A Time to Work...
Annie Bell gained many employment skills which granted her a job opportunity as a culinary specialist at PG Williams School, Ramada Inn and Moody Air Force Base. After relocating to Jersey City, New Jersey, Annie Bell changed her career path and successfully completed courses in the healthcare field and received a certification as a Home Health Aide. Annie Bell was a devoted employee and took pride in her work for 13 years before reaching retirement.

A Time to Serve...
Annie Bell received Christ at an early age and became a member of the Silver Run Missionary Baptist Church in Ousley, Georgia. After marriage, Annie Bell moved her membership to the Second Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Clyattville, Georgia. Upon moving to Jersey City, New Jersey Annie Bell became a member of the Monumental Baptist Church where she worked faithfully with the Willing Workers auxiliary until her health failed.


A Time for Family...
Annie Bell was a loving, compassionate, and family-centered woman. Family was of upmost importance to “GiGi, as she was affectionately called by her grandchildren. “GiGi” was best known as “Kool Aid Maker.” Annie Bell’s grandchildren could always count on their personal candy bags being in her room, and everyone looked forward to her superb southern home cooking. Annie Bell took great pleasure in babysitting family members’ children, especially grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Annie Bell’s family and friends always knew they could depend on her for words of wisdom, encouragement and unconditional love.

A Time for Leisure...
Annie Bell found great pleasure in knitting and completing crossword puzzles.

A Time to be Brave...
God dispatched His angels on February 15, 2015 at 3:04am and ended Annie Bell’s battle with cancer. After Annie Bell’s perseverance, she flew away to her eternal rest, where she received her ‘crown of life’ (James 1:12).

Annie Bell was preceded by her parents, Garfield and Katie Bell Jones; (one) beloved son, Leon Pierce; (two) sisters, Donella Mason, Mable Lewis; (one) daughter-in-law, Lonie Mae Pierce.

A Time to Mourn...
Annie Bell Pierce leaves to celebrate her life and cherish loving memories: (two) daughters, Pastor Willierine Pierce, Jersey City, New Jersey, Wendolyn Louise Nathan (Jerome); (two) sons, Wade Pierce (Ora), Benjamin Pierce (Mary), Valdosta, GA; (one) sister, Rosa Mae Parker (Willie Frank) Valdosta, GA; (three) brothers, Mozell Jones (Lillie) Cleveland, OH, Pastor Joseph Jones (Rev. Annie Rea) Jersey City, NJ, William Jones (Patricia) Valdosta, GA; (seven grandchildren) Eric Dawayne Williams and Stephanie Renee Pierce of Jersey City, NJ, Marvin Le D’vincent Williams (Chermaine) of Rahway, NJ, Sharien Shantelle Pierce,Shulonda NeTrae Allen (Tarus) and Joshua Juwan Nathan of Valdosta, GA, Bernard Jerome Nathan Jr.(Atiya) of Virginia Beach, VA,; (nine great-grandchildren) Dana, Equan, Darrion, Jahvel and Kayla of Jersey City, NJ, Devin of Rahway, NJ, Nia’Mya and Nathan of Valdosta, GA and Titus of Virginia Beach, VA; (five great-great grandchildren), Jaida, Daija, and Jayden of Elizabeth, NJ, Su’Mya and Aaliyah of Jersey City, NJ and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Farewell...
Fill not your heart with pain and sorrow, but remember me in every tomorrow, remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles; I’ve only gone to rest a while. Although my leaving causes pain and grief, my going has erased my hurt and has given much relief.

The celebration of life for the late Mrs. Annie Bell Pierce will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 2:00pm from the sanctuary of Second Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Rev. Leroy Henderson, Jr. will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Forrest Grove Cemetery.
