Betty was born February 27, 1945 to Mr. Linzie Day and the late Mrs. Rachel Day.
On Tuesday, February 03, the Lord declared that her course was finished and awaiting was a crown of righteousness.
Her husband, the late Louis Burns Sr. and mother, the late Mrs. Rachel Day precede her in death.
Betty leaves to cherish her memories three Children: Sheila Brandon, Louis (Renita) Burns Jr and Jamie D. Burns; four Sisters: Earlene (Kelsey) Washington and Lizzie (Willie) Shumphard, Evelyn Ayinde and Lucille Sanders; one Brother: Terry Day; eight Grandchildren: Jamar, Jerrod, Quinton, Amber, Eboni, Bethany, Jamie and Zakhia; a special Cousin: Edward (Nermina) Shannon; seven half Brothers & Sisters: Sandra Stokes, Clyde Stokes, Larry Lane, Joseph (Evelyn) Stokes, Paul (Dianne) Stokes, John (Ann) Stokes and Odell Stokes and a host of sorrowing relatives and friends.
The homegoing celebration for Mrs.
Betty Burns will be held Wednesday, February 09 at New Hope Baptist Church located at 709 W. Gordon St., Valdosta,GA.
Burial will follow at the Jones Pallbearer Cemetery.
