Beverly Jean Wright Copeland was born May 12, 1951 in Lakeland, Georgia, to the late Theodore and Gladys Wright.
She was educated in the Lanier County School System and was a proud member of the graduating Class of 1969.
Beverly was different. She was special, unique in a thousand ways. She was giving and loving. There are those who strive for praise. They yearn for world applause. There are some who chase sweet comfort, as their one and only cause, but, Beverly was different.
Only once will you have the opportunity to be loved by someone who could never love more than Beverly loved her family and friends. Her love was one of a kind. She was different.
Beverly was always Fab and Glamorous! She was electric. Her smile was inspiring. Her confidence was undying. She walked with pride. Beverly, fondly called Queen “B”, was filled with grace, strength, honor and joy. Class and Style were her trademarks—always dressed to impress. She was both soft and powerful, practical and spiritual, in her essence, she was a gift to the world and there will never be another “Lady” like her.
On Saturday, March 7, 2015, when Beverly saw death coming, she did not cower in fear; instead she called out boldly, “My Lord, I am over here.”
Beverly leaves to cherish her memories, her son whom she loved and adored: Antwone D. Copeland (Marie) of Sierra Vista, AZ; one granddaughter: Antwonia M. Copeland of Sierra Vista, AZ; three sisters: Loretha Woods of Valdosta, GA, Maxine Brice (Stewart) of Accokeek, MD, and Linda Preston of Fredericksburg, VA; three brothers: Willie Wright (Brenda) of Lakeland, GA, John Cecil (Catherine) of Valdosta, GA, and Jimmy Wright (Rita) of Alapaha, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
