Bobby Joe Clark Sr., fondly knowns as " Bob Cat" was born June 5, 1947, to the late Irene Purnell Mayfield and the late King Perkins in Lamison, AL.
From the early age of 13, Bobby Joe Clark Sr. understood the biblical principle — "if anyone will not work, neither shall he eat." "Bob Cat" was a hard working man. He understood the importance of providing for his family and took pride in being a good provider for his wife and children. His family will attest to the fact, he was a real "Man". He became an entrepreneur and managed his own logging business for over 20 years. He was a man who loved deeply, showed himself friendly by being a great-giver of not only himself but his resources. His love and generosity came freely and unconditionally.
On Thursday, April 5, 2018, God allowed Bobby to rest from all of his labor.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters: Mildred Hamilton, Geraldine Fletcher, Dorothy Moore and Ethel Bell; and one brother: Lenzy Clark.
Bobby leaves his legacy of love and precious memories to his loving wife of 46 years, Shirley Clark of Valdosta, GA; his three children: Stephanie McClary (Kareem) of Valdosta, GA, Bobby Clark, Jr. of Homerville, GA and Angela Jenkins (Lacoma, Sr.) of Valdosta, GA; his two brothers: David Clark (Mary) and Wilbert Clark (Ocie), both of Waycross, GA; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
