Carrie Bell Foster

Carrie B. Foster was born October 12, 1929 in Norman Park, GA to the late John and Rosetta Smith.

Carrie Foster accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She served faithfully at Trinity Baptist Church for many years. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. Carrie was witty and loved to laugh and make others laugh. She was a strong woman with strong views.

Carrie was a faithful employee at South Georgia Medical Center for 16 years until she retired. After retirement, she enjoyed working in her yard and reading in her spare time.

On Wednesday, May 3, 2017, the Lord gently called Carrie from labor to reward. She will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in by her husband, Bealgie Foster, all of her siblings,one daughter: Brenda Elaine Brown and one granddaughter: Sabrina Tiller.

Carrie leaves to mourn her passing yet celebrate her life, four children: Betty Wilcox of Rochester, NY, Retha Thomas Terrell of Lithonia, GA, Willie James Thomas (Avia) of Quitman, GA and Lorraine Bryant (Larry) of Valdosta, GA; eighteen grandchildren; thirty eight great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law: Audrey Brown Crawford of Miami, FL; one god-daughter: Evelyn Berrian; two special friends: Molly West and Carolyn Ganas; her Trinity church family; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

The Celebration of Life for the late Mrs. Carrie Bell Foster will be held Thursday, May 11, at 11:00am in the Godfrey Funeral Home Chapel.

Rev. Lester Roberts will officiate.

Interment will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens.

Public viewing will be held Wednesday, May 10, from 10:00am - 8:00pm at Godfrey Funeral Home.
