Cheryl Denise Harvey

Cheryl Denise Harvey was born October 18, 1964, in Wiesbaden, Germany, to Albert “Al” J. Cook and the late Eva Sanderson.


Cheryl was caring, loving, thoughtful and true. Someone on whose love you could depend. Cheryl always had her family and friends best interests at heart and placed their needs before her own. There was sunshine in her smile and her laughter was a source of joy. There was kindness and compassion in her embrace. Her family and friends will always remember her special smile, her caring heart and warm embrace.


A beautiful smile was hers until Saturday, November 25, 2017, when the Lord called her to eternal rest.


In addition to her mother, Eva Sanderson, Cheryl is preceded in death by her husband: Michael Thomas Harvey; stepmother: Aline Cook; grandparents: Alvie Cook and Ruth Cook; aunts and uncles: Dave Clark, Oswald Sanderson, Phillip Sanderson, Jimmy Cook, Betty Dilks, Mary Figg and Megan Sanderson.


Remembering cherished memories are her three children whom she loved: Michelle Evans (Fred) and Michael Harvey (Tiffany) all of Valdosta, GA and Tyrone Harvey of Greenville, NC; her loving father: Albert Cook of Nashville, GA; stepmother: JoAnne Cook, of Valdosta, GA; she also leaves five sisters: Debbie McAbee of Phoenix, AZ, Donna Cook of Houston, TX, Sherry Foster (Steve) of Nashville, GA, Kimberly Flaherty of Nashville, GA, and Michelle Chavarria (Tomas) of Naylor, GA; two brothers: Richard Cook of Nashville, GA, and Mark Cook of Savannah, GA; aunts and uncles: Vern Clark, Dean Hewitt (Troy) and Chris Becker (Jerry); five grandchildren whom she adored: Cardale Evans, Jr., Chrislyn Evans, Maliyah McGill, Frederick McGill II and Madison Harvey; one brother–in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

The Celebration of Life for the late Mrs. Cheryl Denise Harvey will be Monday, December 04, 2017, 1:00 p.m., at the chapel of Godfrey Funeral Home.

Pastor Daniel Morris will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Pallbearers Cemetery.

Public viewing will be Sunday, December 03, 2017, 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Godfrey Funeral Home.
