Mrs. Claretha Houston Mcfadden

Claretha Houston McFadden was born to the late Lloyd Houston and the late Ludell Houston, May 12, 1937, in Lakeland, GA.

She was caring, loving, thoughtful and true. She loved the Lord with all her heart. Remembering the words found in Psalm 107:1, “Oh give thanks unto the Lord for He is good: for His mercy endureth forever.” Claretha was ever thankful to her God for everything and in everything.

The Lord granted Claretha eternal rest Tuesday, July 8, 2014.

In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her grandparents: Moses Houston, Georgie Houston, Ollie Wilcox and Addie Wilcox; and one brother: Lloyd Houston, Jr.

Claretha leaves to cherish her memories her husband: Quention McFadden, Sr.,; her children: Sheena Perry (Bernard) of Lake Park, GA, Quention McFadden, Jr. (Barbara) of Middletown, MD, Johnny McFadden (Maggie) of San Antonio, TX, Ann McFadden of Lakeland, GA and Reginald McFadden (Debbie) of Sanford, NC; two sisters: Georgie Mae Williams (Edward) of Lakeland, GA and Vernell Carter of St. Petersburg, FL; two brothers: Lorenzo Houston (Shirley) of St. Petersburg, FL and Grady Houston (Sarah)of Jacksonville, FL; two aunts: Bernice Houston and Rutha Mae Houston; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service for Mrs. Claretha Houston McFadden will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014, at 11:00a.m., from the sanctuary of New Bryant Missionary Baptist Church, 76 South Mill Street, Lakeland, GA.

Rev. Jasper Daniels, Jr. is the pastor and Dr. William C. Morgan will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Charles Knight Cemetery.
