Mr. Curtis L. Brantley, Sr.

Curtis Lee Brantley, Sr. was born March 24, 1962 in Valdosta, Georgia, to Lovenia Brantley and the late Isaiah Brantley, Sr.

It is said that work is not a man’s punishment, it is his reward and his strength and his pleasure. Curtis was a hard-working man with a strong determination to do whatever he set his mind to. When not working hard, he was playing hard doing what he loved best—fishing.

Curtis departed this life Thursday, November 17, 2016.

In addition to his father, he was preceded by his grandparents: Cammie Mac Rountree and Cora Rountree; one aunt: Shirley Rountree; one niece: Yolanda Campbell and one sister-in-law: Ernestine Brantley.

Curtis leaves two children: Curtis Brantley, Jr. and Vanessa White of Valdosta, GA; one brother: Isaiah Brantley, Jr. of Lake Park, GA; two aunts: Leona Brantley of Valdosta, GA and Cora Marie Wilson of Mount Dora, FL; two uncles: Ellis Rountree (Judy) and Eugene Roundtree (Marilyn) of Valdosta, GA; nine grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews: Isaiah Brantley III of Valdosta, GA, Qunita Brantley (Chris) of Jonesboro, GA; LaShonda Brantley of Valdosta, GA, Janice Young of Valdosta, GA, and Craig Young of Valdosta, GA; one special cousin: Charles Brantley of Valdosta, GA; two special friends: Karen Johnson and Calvin Burgess of Valdosta, GA; and a host of family and friends.

The celebration of life for the late Mr. Curtis L. Brantley Sr. will be held Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 1:00pm from the sanctuary of St. John AME Church.

Rev. Larry Smith will officiate.

Interment will follow in Pallbearers Cemetery.
