Cynthia Arlene Maxwell was born March 18, 1955, in Valdosta, GA, to the Edward and Mary Jean Mitchell.
Cynthia was a one of life’s best gifts. She was caring, loving, thoughtful and true. She was a mentor, a confident, and also a friend, someone on whose love you could always depend. Believing that marriage was intended to be a lifelong commitment and not based on a feeling, she pledged herself to Willie Maxwell, Jr. where they vowed to love each other until death. Cynthia was a loving mother who always had her four children’s best interest at heart.
When in her presence, there was fullness of laughter and joy. She loved to joke around and have fun with her family friends. Cynthia believed in being a blessing and in turn, receiving blessings. One of her favorite sayings was, “give me my flowers while I’m living.” She was indeed a blessing from God and a treasure like no other.
Cynthia loved the Lord with all her might and sought to please Him all the days of her life. She served faithfully while attending Teach Outreach Ministries.
On Monday, May 20, Cynthia transitioned from labor to reward.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers: Kennis M. Mitchell and Bruce Mitchell; and one uncle: Willie Frank Parker.
Left to celebrate her life and to cherish memories are her husband: Willie Maxwell, Jr. of Valdosta, GA; four children: Lita L. Mitchell, Katrina N. Maxwell, Cedric J. Maxwell and Regina E. Maxwell, all of Valdosta, GA; her three sisters: Vernita E. Jackson (Marcellus), Janice R. Johnson and Sheila L. Mitchell; three brothers: Edward L Mitchell (Miranda), Ronald J.
