Denisha Renee Whitfield

Denisha Renee Whitfield was born July 11, 1979 in Valdosta, GA to Nathaniel and Wanda Whitfield.

Denisha was educated in the Valdosta City School System and continued her educational endeavors in the Job Corps where she became a Certified Chef.

Denisha was a fun-loving person who enjoyed making those around her smile. She was very adventurous and strong willed. Following in the steps of her father, Denisha also loved to sing. Her family will always remember her special smile and warm embrace.

On Saturday, November 19, 2016, the Lord knew that Denisha was suffering, He knew she was in pain, so He closed her weary eyelids and granted her eternal rest.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Ora Lee Davis, Blanch Holmes, Fred Oliver Whitfield, and Sammy Lee Brown.

Denisha leaves to mourn her passing, two children: Garionte Whitfield and Mykea Whitfield, both of Valdosta, GA; parents: Nathaniel and Wanda Whitfield; one sister: Hope E. Jackson (Carl) of Valdosta, GA; one brother: Artimendus Gordon of Valdosta, GA; her uncles and aunts: Paul Holmes (Cynthia) Kenneth Holmes, Zellina Colvin, Joyce Kier, Josephine Wells, Annette Fountain (Jerry), Lisa Smith, Benny Lee Whitfield, Cornelius Whitfield (Alma), Lewis Kier, Leon Kier, Joseph Wells (Gwen), and Armaster Davis; special friend: “Shakey”; and a host of family and friends.

The celebration of life for the late Ms. Denisha Whitfield will be held Sunday, November 27, 2016 at 2:00pm from the sanctuary of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church.

Rev. George W. Blunt will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Pallbearers Cemetery.
