Dennis Graham

Dennis Graham, 81, passed this life on November 3, 2013 at Crestwood Nursing Home, Valdosta, Georgia. Mr. Graham was born on September 2, 1932, to the late Benjamin and Josephine Marbley Graham.

He attended Dasher High School. He was united in marriage to the late Carolyn Louise Williams.

Mr. Graham served in the US Navy on the USS Sicily, an aircraft carrier, during the Korean War.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by one sister: Annie Bell Graham and one brother: Allen J. Graham.

Mr. Graham is survived by one son: Dennis H. Graham (Angela) of Valdosta, GA; two daughters: Carolyn Marie Graham of Brooklyn, NY and Wanda Gail Graham of Waco, TX; two grandchildren: Neitha Cleveland (Rondell) of Brooklyn, NY and Corey Graham of Atlanta, GA; two great-grandchildren: Joia and Javohn of Brooklyn, NY; one nephew: Thomas James (Ruth) of Miami, FL; one sister in-law: Annie Grace Williams; cousin in-law: Franklin Johnson; and a host of cousins and loving friends.

Deacon Dennis H. and Sister Angela Graham give honor and thanks to their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and to their beloved Pastor, Rev. Marilyn Thomas—Pastor and Founder of Oracles Deliverance Church for her divine leadership. Grateful for her loving care with great wisdom from God to foresee the future and instruct their lives. She requested that we take care of dad in our home in 1985; he lived with us for over 25 years. In 2011, he became seriously ill and had to be placed in the nursing home. We would visit him often and always took him candy and ice cream, which he loved. We are certain he would not have lived as long as he did. Mr. Graham was very thankful for Rev. Thomas’ consistent prayers for him throughout the years. Rev. Thomas visited him a few days prior to his death and prayed the intercessory prayer to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The homegoing celebration for the late Mr. Dennis Graham will be held Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 3:00pm in the Godfrey Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
