Destiny Shandora Darshea Newsome

Destiny Newsome was born June 1, 1993 in Valdosta, GA to Monica Newsome Jones.

Destiny, fondly called “NeNe” was an adventurous young lady who enjoyed writing and singing. She received her GED and furthered her education while attending Georgia Military College.

Destiny made her life ending transition, Thursday, July 21, 2016.

She is preceded is death by her grandparents: Rosetta Reynolds, Eddie Lee Reynolds; her great-grandparents: Rosa Lee Newsome and L.C. Newsome; and two aunts: Felecia Newsome and Deidra Miller.

Destiny leaves cherished memories to her son: Ke’marion Newsome of Valdosta, GA; her mother: Monica S. Jones of Valdosta, GA; her step-father: Edward C. Jones; three sisters: Rickelle S. Williams, Miqueria D. Newsome and Fantasia N. Newsome, all of Valdosta, GA; her three brothers: Kevin M. Newsome, KaTyreis A. Newsome, and Da’Quan S. Newsome, all of Valdosta, GA; grandparents: Arthur and Irene Miller; three aunts: Leslie Lasane (John), Tameica Woodson (Kenneth) and Kedreck McKinney (Tony); two uncles: Randall Godfrey (Rhonda) and Derek Miller; a host of cousins: Tavaris (Kalanda), Jerome (Neisha) Octavious, Jasmine, Ebony (DJ), Malcom, Arin, Darryheisha, Taneisha, Derrica, Jeremy, Jakair, RJ, Grant, Kendal, and Billy; and a host of her family and friends.

The memorial service for the late Ms. Destiny Newsome will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11:00am in the Godfrey Funeral Home Chapel.

Apostle James Smith will officiate.
