It is with deepest sympathy Godfrey Funeral Home announces Mrs. Doris Elizabeth Godfrey Ponder, age 86, of Valdosta, GA, departed this life Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Pruitt Healthcare Heritage House Nursing Home.

Celebration of Life for the late Mrs. Doris E. Godfrey Ponder will be Saturday, May 15, 2021, 10:00 a.m., on the campus of Southside Church of Christ, 1198 Old Statenville Road, Valdosta.  Bro. Eric Dawkins, Sr. is the minister and Bro. Gene Godfrey will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Vienna AME Church Cemetery, 4880 Mt Vienna AME Church Road, Valdosta.

Public viewing will be Friday, May 14, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Godfrey Funeral Home.

All those who wish to pay their respect in person must wear a mask during visitation.
