Mr. Edgar Charles Berrian was born June 8, 1950, to the late Mr. Charlie and Armetta Black Berrian.
He was educated in the Valdosta City School System where he graduated from Pinevale High School in 1968. After graduation, Charles entered the United States Air Force. During his time in service, he married Ms. Teresa Barron in 1970. To this union, two sons were born: Napoleon and Antonio.
He continued his education at the Valdosta Technical School and Valdosta State College. His employment included: SAFT America, Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department and Georgia Power, where he retired after 35 years of service in May, 2015.
Charles peacefully departed this life, Friday, October 21, 2016 at his place of residence.
Preceding his eternal rest along with his parents, is a loving daughter-in-law: DeVoynne Williams Berrian; one sister: Gloria Williams; and seven aunts and uncles.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted and loving wife of over 46 years, Teresa; two sons: Napoleon Berrian (Amber) and Antonio Berrian; one brother: Joseph Berrian; nine grandchildren: Nia, Camron, Sky, Cierra, Jaeson, Milan, Dominique, Braylen, Dajanae; two great-grandchildren: Sasha and Dominique, Jr.; his mother-in-law: Mary Barron; two sisters-in-law: Emma Barron and Mary Sanders (Jacob); four brothers-in-law: Don Barron (Lee Margaret), Cagus Barron (Annie), Ricky Barron and Stafford Barron; five aunts: Vernice Jones, Annetta Presley, Delores Black, Lovelle Black, and Mae Lillie McEady (Charles); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
The celebration of life for the late Mr. Edgar C. Berrian will be held Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 11:00am from the sanctuary of Union Cathedral.
Bishop Wade S. McCrae will officiate.
Interment will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
Public viewing will be held Friday, October 28 from 10:00am - 8:00pm in the Godfrey Funeral Home Chapel.
