It is with deepest sympathy Godfrey Funeral Home announces Elder Maxine M. Lucas, age 82, departed this life Wednesday, January 3, 2024.

The Celebration of Life for the late Elder Maxine M. Lucas will be Saturday, January 13, 2024, 3:00 p.m., at Jesus Christ by Faith Ministries, 3577 Val Tech Road, Valdosta, GA, 31602.

Bishop Eddie Bennett Jr will be officiating. Dr. Yvonne Bennett is pastor.

Interment will follow in the Lucas Brothers Memorial Cemetery, 3827 Lucas Richardson Rd, Hahira, GA.

Public viewing will be Friday, January 12, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Godfrey Funeral Home, Valdosta, GA.

All those who wish to pay their respect in person must wear mask at the public viewing and at the funeral service.
