Mr. Erick Dewayne Crawford, Sr.

Mr. Erick (“Boo”) Dewayne Crawford  Sr., a native of Valdosta, Georgia, was born October 28, 1972, to Joyce Crawford and the late James Edward Gaitor. He is the grandson of the late Mrs. Ruth Coachman, the late Mrs. Jennie Mae Straughter and the late Mr. James Straughter.

Erick was educated in the Valdosta City School System and was a proud member of the graduating Class of 1990 from Valdosta High School. He was employed with John Deere Compact and Utility Tractors.

Erick (“Boo”) Crawford Sr., age 42, passed away suddenly at South Georgia Medical Center on Friday, September 4, 2015.

Erick lives to cherish his memory his mother: Joyce Crawford; one son: Eric Crawford, Jr.; one sister: Sharon Means Crawford; two brothers: Anthony Johnson (Carla) and Steven Straughter (Shelia); two aunts: Laverne Crawford and Mary Frances Moore; three uncles: Raymond Crawford (Liz), Johnny B. Straughter and W.C. Straughter, all of Valdosta Georgia; his special cousins: Christopher Crawford (Marsha), William Crawford, Godfrey Moore, Ann Tucker, all of Valdosta Georgia; Valerie Roades (Daryl) and Willie James Moore (Rhonda) of Atlanta, Georgia;  one special friend: LaTerrica Carter; Eric Jr.’s mother: Kima; and a host of family and friends.

The funeral service for the late Mr. Erick DeWayne Crawford, Sr., will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 3:00PM in the Godfrey Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow in the Pallbearers Cemetery.
