Estella Jean Williams was born August 5, 1945, in Duval County, FL, to the late Thelma Lee Moore and the late Thomas Wilson.
She received her early education while attending the Valdosta City School System and was a proud graduate of Pinevale High School where she was also a majorette.
Estella was a loving, funny and outspoken lady. She was one of life’s best gift. Estella was caring, compassionate, thoughtful and true. As described by her children, she was a provider, mentor, confident and a “pretty cool” mom. Estella worked willingly and faithfully with her hands everyday for many years at Levi Strauss Company where she later retired.
Estella believed in the fulfillment of the 23rd Psalms. She believed the power of God was her protection, her peace and her provision.
On Saturday, February 4, 2017, God gently closed her weary eyelids and whispered, “Peace be thine”.
In addition to her parents, Estella is preceded in death by her grandparents: Mood Williams and her name sake, Estella Williams.
Estella leaves to cherish precious memories, her two sons: Timothy L. Wright (Rhonda) of Miami, FL and Neco S. Wright, Sr. (Khrystal) of Valdosta, GA; her god-sister: Sharon Walker (Calvin) of Lake Park, GA; three aunts: Stella Robinson (Mike) of Atlanta, GA, Annie P. Williams and Dorothy Williams, both of Jersey City, NJ; a special cousin: Erline Doe; three special friends: Maxine Tarrish, Ruby Fleming, and Caroline J. Morgan; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The celebration of life for the late Ms. Estella Jean Williams will be held Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 2:00pm from the sanctuary of New Hope Baptist Church.
Rev. Aaron Hopkins is the pastor and will officiate.
Interment will follow in Southview Cemetery.
