Mrs. Fayette Johnson Roberson was born August 3, 1955 in Valdosta, Georgia to Freddie Lee Henderson and the late Estella Johnson Straughter.

She was employed by Parkwood Development Center where she served as a Kitchen Supervisor.

Fayette was granted eternal rest, Friday, May 22, 2015.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her grand-parents: Alma Pruitt and Robert Johnson; one sister: Annie Patrick and one granddaughter: Amari Roberson.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband: Kenneth L. Lamar, Sr. of Valdosta, Georgia; one grandmother: Mrs. Rose Lee Willis of St. Petersburg, Florida; four daughters: Serena Hamilton of Valdosta, Georgia, Tanesha Hamilton of Macon, Georgia, Shameka Roberson and Jessica Roberson of Valdosta, Georgia; one son: Kenneth L. Roberson, Jr. (Kayla) of Valdosta, Georgia; six granddaughters: Shanika, Abreona, Fayanna, Shaniyah, Shaliyah, and Zyriah; four grandsons: Davion, Jacari, Jaheim, and Dimitri; four sisters: Iretha Stoney of Atlanta, Georgia, Alma Battle and Hope Straughter, both of Valdosta, Georgia and Tammie Henderson of St. Petersburg, Florida; four brothers: Anthony Johnson, William Johnson and Tony Straughter, Sr., all of Valdosta, Georgia, and Terrol Henderson of St. Petersburg, Florida; one uncle: Willie Huggins of Bronx, New York; five brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; loving and devoted friends: Berndette Jones, Thelma Kier, Patricia Alexander, Kim Paul, and Esther Chandler; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; great great-nieces and nephews; family and friends.

The celebration of life for the late Mrs. Fayette Johnson Roberson will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 3:00pm from the sanctuary of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Dr. Charles E. Vinson, Sr. is the pastor.

Pastor Bernard Robinson, Sr. will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Public viewing will be held Friday, May 29, 2015 at Godfrey Funeral Home from 10:00am - 8:00pm.
