Frank Lamar Moore

August 7, 1947 — August 22, 2020

Porter

Mr. Frank Lamar Moore, affectionately called “Baby” was born August 7, 1947, in Valdosta, GA to the late Mr. Ulysses Grant and the late Mrs. Bessie Mae Mooore.

He was educated in the Valdosta City School System. He later joined Job Corp in Oakland, California and became an electrician by trade. Frank was a hard working disciplined man whose 40 plus years of employment as an electrician included 30 years of faithful service at Tradesmen International. He was married to the late Mrs. Sandra L. Moore and to this union, one child was born.

Frank, fondly called “Baby”, was a very loving and giving father, grandfather and friend. He was very passionate when it came to raising his children; he provided tough love. He stood by the decisions he made-always firm and willing to provide. Frank was a jack of all trades. He could build, fix, or put together anything he set his mind on. When not taking care of the needs of his family or friends, Frank enjoyed exercising, grilling, watching sports with his son in-law and debating about the news, music and dancing. He was also a skilled boxer in his earlier years. His passion for life was evident in his style and charisma. There was never a dull moment in his 73 years of life.

On Saturday, August 22 nd , Frank L. Moore transitioned from labor to reward.

Preceding his eternal rest along with his parents, is his loving wife: Mrs. Sandra Louise Moore; grandparents: Rebecca and Mike Thomas; and one brother: Ulysses Moore.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter: Whitney (Carl) Gilmore of Porter, TX; his two stepchildren: Corey Webber of Slidell, LA and Tiffany Baker of Valdosta, GA; his grandchildren: Arrianna and Penelope Webber of Slidell, LA; his sister: Diane Jones of Valdosta, GA; his brother: Willie (Portrina) Jones of Valdosta, GA; special nieces: Tammy Davis of Valdosta, GA and Nikki Tiller of Tampa, FL; a special nephew: Willie Thomas of Valdosta, GA; one sister in-law: Linda Kier of Valdosta, GA; two brothers in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
