On December 30, 1984, a bouncing baby boy was born to Gary and LaVerne Spencer Foster and they named him, Gary Demond Foster, Jr., who would later be called, “Big Man!”
Recognizing he needed a Savior at an early age, Gary became a member of Union Baptist Church and was baptized.
Gary received his early education from the Valdosta City Schools. He was a proud graduate of Valdosta High School (home of the mighty Wildcats) Class of 2003. Gary continued his education by attending ITT Technical College in Wichita, Kansas, where he obtained a Degree in Engineering. Gary’s “Big Man” skills were shared as an employee at Via Christi Health as an Assistant Inventory Manager.
He was united in holy matrimony to Cecilia Brown, to this union four children were added.
All of Heaven’s Angels rejoiced on Saturday, October 29, 2016, when Gary transitioned from earth to glory and God closed those lovely eyes whispering “Peace be thine”. Gary joined his grandparents, whom he loved dearly: paternal grandparents: Willie and Louise Foster; and his maternal grandmother: Inez Scott Spencer.
Gary leaves to cherish fond memories and continue his legacy to his wife: Cecilia; his children: Leeah, Niam, Nyra, and Tajarae, all of Wichita, KS; his devoted parents: Gary and Laverne Foster; one sister whom he adored: Kenyattia Davis (Rodney); grandparents: Elder John and Mary Spencer of Valdosta, GA; his in-laws: Jerry II and Marilyn Brown; Danyell Phillips of Clarks, LA, Jerry Brown III (Nela); Larry Brown (Erika) of Baltimore, MD; his godmother: Millicent Crawford of Atlanta, GA; nieces and nephews: Kris Foster, Kristie Longs, Jeremiah Davis, Elijah Davis, Kymetria Davis, Kearra Davis, Kyla Davis, Jasmine Davis, R.J. Davis, Tira Phillips, Trishaun Phillips, Lyden Brown, Jadyen Brown, Xrisjay Brown, and Anima Brown; and a hosts of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
