Gloria Jean Johnson was born March 10, 1946 in Valdosta, GA, to the late Willie Pearl Blake and the late Willie Clarence Williams.
Gloria was caring, loving, thoughtful and true. She played a special part in many of her family and friends lives. She was a mentor and friend, someone on whose love you could depend. She was truly a wonderful person. She was giving. She was special. Unique in a thousand ways and her family and friends will miss her all our days.
On a special day, Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 8, 2016, the Lord called this special mother to come unto eternal rest. He closed her weary eyelids and whispered, “Peace be thine.”
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son: Anthony Jefferson and two sisters: Dianne Williams Brown and Bobbi Jean Williams.
Gloria leaves her legacy of love to her husband: Roosevelt Johnson of Valdosta, GA; three children: Glynis Bell (Ronnie), Dianne Jefferson (Floyd), and Bobby Jefferson, all of Valdosta, GA; aunts and uncles: Betty Campbell (Daniel), Mary Reese, Hattie Wade, Johnny Wade (Alma) and Doc Wade (Laverne); a special grandson-in-law: Dobise Hazzard; a specie niece-in-law: Beverly Osborne; seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law; one brother-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
The Celebration of Life for the late Mrs. Gloria Jean Johnson will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 2:00pm from the sanctuary of Universal Deliverance Church.
Apostle Naomi McCowan is the pastor.
Overseer Sylvia Belmer will officiate.
Interment will follow in Pallbearers Cemetery.
