Mr. Hardy Moten, Jr.

January 8, 1933 — December 24, 2015

A Time to Live:

Hardy Moten was born January 8, 1933 in Billingsley, Alabama. He was the oldest of six children born to the union of the late Mr. Hardy Moten Sr. and the late Mrs. Julia Bell Shelton. After migrating to Valdosta, GA, he met and later married Mary Moten in 1954. Together, they reared their eight (8)children in a home filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.
Hardy had a quiet disposition with an unspoken strength. He loved his family indiscriminatingly and unconditionally. Hardy was charitable to others and had an unpretentious presence that made him loved by all. He often viewed life as a “lottery” and hit the jackpot with his devoted wife, loving family, and supportive friends. Hardy was a “Wildcat” enthusiast.
Hardy worked diligently in the mobile home industry for over 20 years. He was known for his promptness and his navigational skills. He managed several cleaning businesses before partnering with his wife to help build a sustaining contract cleaning business which imparted good work ethics, perseverance, and integrity in their children. His unwavering love and devotion will always be remembered by his children, grand-children, and all who knew him.

A Time to Die:

Hardy lived 2 Tim 4:7-8, he fought a good fight, he finished his race, and he kept the faith. On December 24th 2015, Hardy peacefully passed away at his home and reunited with his Heavenly Father, his mother, his father, and his brother the late Benny Moten and his late son Michael Morrell.
