Howard W. Davis was born May 16, 1924 in Valdosta, GA to the late Armaster and Ponzellar Davis.
Howard Davis was a master carpenter who lived a good life. Howard loved to work and building things of wood, always providing for his family like a good husband and father should. He was a hard worker and a man of integrity. He retired from Dowling Bag Company as a truck driver after forty two years of service.
He was loved by his family, his children, and especially his wife. His family and friends will always remember his special smile and caring heart.
Howard loved the Lord with all of his heart, mind, and soul. He was a faithful member of Irvin Hill Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board and was a member of the choir.
Resting where no shadows fall, in peaceful sleep he awaits us all; God will link the broken chain, when one by one we meet again.
Howard was granted eternal rest, Monday, March 2, 2015.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters: Beatrice Edmondson, Ora Lee Johnson and Marietta Davis Saul; five brothers: Lloyd Davis, Willie Davis, Chairman Davis, Aroy Davis, and Harvey Davis.
