It is with deepest sympathy Godfrey Funeral Home announces Mr. James Howard Best, age 71, departed this life September 7, 2022, at South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, GA.

The Celebration of Life for the late Mr. James Howard Best will be Saturday, September 17, 2022, 1:00 p.m., from the sanctuary of Morning Star Baptist Church, 1051 Howell Road, Valdosta, GA.

Dr. William C. Morgan will be officiating. Pastor Naamen Hooker is presiding.

Interment will follow in the Southview Cemetery, 2065 Clay Road, Valdosta, GA.

Public viewing will be Friday, September 16, 2022, 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Godfrey Funeral Home.

All those who wish to pay their respect in person must wear mask at the public viewing and the funeral service.
