Mr. James Curtis Harper

James Curtis Harper was born August 22, 1926 to the late James D. Frye and the late Mattie W. Harper.

He will always be remembered for his special smile, his caring heart, and love for his family. He was a honest and loyal man whose love you could depend. James had a wonderful sense of humor, his laughter would fill a room. His name will ever be a household word that will always bring love, comfort and cheer.

James answered the call of the Master, Monday, October 6, 2014.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Fannie M. Harper; one son: James E. Harper; and his in-laws.

James leaves to cherish his memories his devoted sister: Gloria Bullard (Benjamin) of Valdosta, GA; one grandson: James E. Harper Jr. of Valdosta, GA; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews: Ronald Cain (Cynthia) of Columbus, GA, Clara Singletary of Decatur, GA, Rosa Wotten (Lawrence) and William Haynes (Annie Ward) of Fayetteville, GA, Eva M. Cain of Rincon, GA and Stephen L. Smiley of Atlanta, GA; special care giver: Cynthia Harris of Valdosta, GA, and a host of cousins and friends.


The celebration of life for the late Mr. James Curtis Harper will be held Sunday, October 11, 2014 at 3:00pm from the sanctuary of First Antioch Baptist Church.

Rev. Albert Lee Barfield will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Pallbearers Cemetery.
