It is with deepest sympathy Godfrey Funeral Home announces Mr. James E. Jenkins, Sr., age 92, departed this life Wednesday, January 3, 2024.

The Celebration of Life for the late Mr. James E. Jenkins, Sr., will be Saturday, January 13, 2024, 11:00 a.m., at Payton AME Church, 6652 Jumping Gully Road, Valdosta, GA, 31601.

Pastor Kenneth J. Murphy will be officiating. Rev. Donnie Smith is pastor.

Interment will follow in the Payton AME Church Cemetery, 6652 Jumping Gully Road, Valdosta, GA.

Public viewing will be Friday, January 12, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Godfrey Funeral Home, Valdosta, GA.

All those who wish to pay their respect in person must wear mask at the public viewing and at the funeral service.
