Joanna M Geren

It is with deepest sympathy Godfrey Funeral Home announces Mrs. Joanna M. Geren, age 86, of Valdosta, GA, departed this life Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at her residence.

Mrs. Joanna M. Geren was born on May 11, 1936 in Jasonville, IN, to the late  Clifford Cline and the late Goldia Worth Cline.

Joanna was a graduate of Jasonville High School, Class of 1954. She was a Majorette in high school and was very proud of that.

She was working as a dental hygienist when she met the love of her life, Jerry.  She saw him working on the tilt-a-whirl and it was love at first sight.  She loved to travel and make children smile at the carnival.  She enjoyed her plants and her "grand turtle" that she had cared for since Hilary was in 6th grade.

She was also a resident of Dasher for over 50 years; and she adored her great grandbaby.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Jerry Geren; son: Glenn Geren; sister: Norma Cline.

She leaves to cherish precious memories, her granddaughter: Hilary Geren (Dean Woodward); one great granddaughter: Tiki Judith Poppy Geren;  daughter-in-law: Diane Geren; and a host of nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

The Celebration of Life graveside service / interment for the late Mrs. Joanna M Geren. will be Friday, June 17, 2022, 11:30 a.m., at the Dasher Cemetery, 3680 Carroll Ulmer Rd., Valdosta, GA.

Minister David Nelson will be officiating.
