It is with deepest sympathy Godfrey Funeral Home announces Mr. Joseph "Joe Boy" Matchett III, age 76, departed this life Monday, April 1, 2024.

The Celebration of Life for the late Mr. Joseph "Joe Boy" Matchett III, will be Saturday, April 13, 2024, 11:00 a.m., at Union Cathedral Church, 1050 E. Hill Ave., Valdosta, GA, 31601.

Bishop Wade S. McCrae is pastor and will be officiating. Dr. Norman J. Edwards is the Eulogist.

Interment will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens, 3945 N. Valdosta Rd., Valdosta, GA 31602.

Public viewing will be Friday, April 12, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Godfrey Funeral Home, Valdosta, GA.

All those who wish to pay their respect in person must wear mask at the public viewing and the funeral service.
