Joshua Eugene Gardner

Joshua Eugene Gardner, affectionately known as “ Boedie", was born August 1, 2000, in Valdosta, GA, to Ms. Yeganeh D. Gardner. Little Joshua was blessed to be nurtured through his infant and toddler years by his great aunt and uncle, Mrs. Gloria and Paul Moore, Sr. At the tender age of 3, Joshua relocated to Ray City, Georgia, to be reared by his dearly devoted aunt and uncle, Pastor Vickie and Bishop Leroy Randolph, whom he     considered his “Mom & Dad".

Josh's educational journey began at Berrien County Primary School and continued at Lighthouse Christian School where he would complete grades 2 ^nd through 6 ^th . Enthused with sports, while attending Pine Grove Middle School, Josh was a part of the track, basketball and football teams. Once arriving to Lowndes High School, he decided to pursue football, becoming #11 for the Vikings, completing his 9 ^th and 10 ^th grade years.

A member of a Christian family, Joshua undertook the encouragement of 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)- “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in various forms.” In doing so, he was a member of Prayer House of Faith, under the pastorate of Bishop and Pastor Randolph, where he served as drummer and reader of God’s word.

Predeceased by his grandmother, Mrs. Betty Jean Gardner, Joshua Eugene Gardner was granted Heavenly Rest on Sunday, June 10, 2018.

His life will forever be treasured by his mother: Ms. Yeganeh D. Gardner; mom and dad: Pastor Vickie and Bishop Leroy Randolph; brother: Jacob L. Gardner; one niece: Little Miss Harmoni Leaphart; grandfather: Willie James Gardner; great grandmother: Mrs. Lucille Gardner; two uncles: Tony Edmonds (Rena) and Willie James, III; his great aunts and uncles: Mrs. Gloria and Paul Moore, Sr., J.D. and Helen Morrison, Edgar and Mary Roberts; special cousins: Willie DaShawn Berrian, Carmelia Berrian, Will DeShae Berrian (Khandis),   LaShona McFarland Thomas (Mike), Deirdre D. Wright, Paul Moore, Jr., Patrick Moore, Sr. (Cortney), Phillip G. Moore, Lessie Loveday, Curtis Thomas, Micah Thomas, Norman Wright, Paris Wright, Zjabarion Berrian, Zjahariah Berrian, Zjavion Berrian, Tramonte Gardner, Cassidy Gardner, Matthew Hall, Madison Hall, Sheri, Tia and Carla; and a number of other relatives and friends, including special friend, Ms. Haley Simone Jackson.

The Celebration of Life for the late Joshua Eugene Gardner will be Sunday, June 17, 2018, 1:30 p.m., from the sanctuary of New Life Ministries, 5651 Inner Perimeter Road, Valdosta.

Interment will follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens.

Public viewing will be Saturday, June 16th, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Godfrey Funeral Home.
