Josie Mae Steward

Josie Mae Steward was born to the late Rosie Lee Williams and the late Joseph Alexander May 27, 1942 in Valdosta, GA.

She departed this life on Thursday, May 31, 2012 in the presence of her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Willie James Steward; one sister: Patricia Williams; one brother: Warren Williams and her grandparents: Bessie McGriff, Aaron McGriff and Ella Mae Alexander.

She leaves to mourn her passing three children: Aaron Locks (Mona), Chyjuan Locks and Antraveno Locks, all of Valdosta, GA; three sisters: Gloria White (Rev. White) of Lake Haven, FL, Alice Williams and Kathy Williams of Miami, FL; two brothers: Larry Williams of Germany and Michael Williams of Miami, FL; aunt and uncle: Bessie and Eddie Beverly of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and host of nieces, nephews, sorrowing family and friends.

The funeral services for Mrs. Josie Mae Steward, age 70. who departed this life May 31, 2012, will be held from the sanctuary of Macedonia First Baptist Church, Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 3:00pm.

Rev. Willie J. Harris, Sr. will officiate.

Burial will follow at the Gary Cemetery in Ousley, GA.
