She was united in matrimony to the late Mr. Calvin Wright, Sr.

If you could see the beauty of the garden I am walking through, if you could feel the touch of His hand. You want to walk here too. If you could see the sunshine with no dark shadows lurking near, if you could know the joy supreme I find with my Lord so dear, you would be glad I slipped away to this beautiful land of eternity.
A Time to Die:
God called His child home to her final resting Sunday, October 24, 2010.
A Time to Mourn:
She leaves to cherish her memories, Six loving children: Calvin (Christine) Wright, Jr., Annie Lois (Willie) Lewis, Carolyn Howell, Sam (Bernice) Wright, Javan (Sherri) Wright, and Ralph (Yvonne) Wright all of Valdosta, GA; Forty one grandchildren and a host of great and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by Her husband: Mr. Calvin Wright, Sr. and a son, Mr. Wilber Wright.
Funeral services for Mrs. Katie Penny Wright will be on Thursday October 28, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. from the sanctuary of Mt Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 5009 GA Hwy 122E, Hahira, Ga. Pastor Norman Edwards will officiate and burial will follow at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Public viewing will be today from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.godfreyfuneralhome.net. Godfrey Funeral Home, LLC of Valdosta, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
