On December 18, 1997, in Valdosta, GA, Mrs. Latoya Young Brown and Mr. Lamarius Workman, Sr., was blessed with their greatest gift given to them by God, their son, Lamarius Demond Workman, Jr. whom they affectionately called, “LJ”
This precious gift entered into this world with a heart filled with love, peace and joy. “LJ” was different, unique in a thousand ways. He was humble in spirit, mannerable and very polite. His smile would warm your heart. He loved to have fun and spending time with his family.
“LJ” was educated in the Lowndes County School System and was a proud member of the graduating Class of 2017 of Lowndes High School. He furthered his studies by becoming a student at Georgia Military College. “LJ” was also a dedicated employee of Wild Adventures and Lowes Distribution. His family and friends will always remember his special smile, his caring heart and the love he always gave.
“LJ” accepted the Lord as His Savior at a young age and was an active youth and member of Day Spring Missionary Baptist Church.
On Wednesday, May 15, “LJ” took the Lord’s hand when He heard Him call. He could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work or play. He’s now found peace at the end of his day.
Left to celebrate and remember his precious life are his parents: LaToya Brown (Steven) of Valdosta, GA and Lamarius Workman, Sr. (Monica) of Richmond, Hill, GA; three sisters: LaTavia Young, Decameron Brown and Zykiyah Copeland, all of Valdosta, GA; a brother: Antonio Brown of Valdosta, GA; his grandparents: Linda Mapps (David), Susie Workman, Debra Holley, and Mary Fifie (Julian); a special uncle: EJ Young; two best friends: Makailah Murphy and Jordan Wright; and a host of aunts, uncles cousins, extended family and friends.
