Latasha Eady Berrien

Latasha Eady Berrien, age 34, of Valdosta, GA, departed this life on Thursday, December 02, 2010 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL.

On Thursday afternoon, December 02, 2010, God dispatched an angel who quietly granted rest to Latasha.

Latasha, the lovely daughter of Roosevelt Stokes Jr and the late Sandra Eady Stokes, was born in Lowndes County on March 28,1976. She received her secular education in the Valdosta City Schools and went on to continue her education at Wiregrass Georgia Technical College.

Latasha was employed by Heritage Healthcare at Crestwood as a Patient Care Tech. She was a faithful member of New Birth Church Ministries, where she served as an usher.

Latasha was a free spirited young lady who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. In her presence was fullness of love, joy and peace.

She leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted Husband: Robert Berrien; a precious Daughter: Alaina Grace; Father: Roosevelt Stokes Jr; four Sisters Shameca (Tramaine) Robinson, Taneisha (Steve) Strickland, Diamond Steele and Candace Stokes all of Valdosta; two Brothers: Shawn Eady of Riverdale, GA and Jason Stokes of Valdosta; Grandmother: Daisey Stokes; Mother in-law: Eva Mae Berrien; one Brother in-law: Robert Lee (Florence) Brown of Valdosta; seven Uncles: Henry (Dawn) Eady Jr, Walter (Lillie) Eady Sr, Darren Eady, Garfield (Wanda) Stokes, Jerry Stokes and Donald Stokes Sr; five Aunts: Phyllis Eady, Ruby (Joseph) Hunter, Jacqueline (Leonard) Severson, Elizabeth (Jeff) Bryant and Gloria Clines; two Nieces: Hannah and Meshunti; two Nephews: Shawn Jr and Tyshawn, host of relatives and friends in addition to her wonderful church family.

Latasha was preceded in death by her Mother: Sandra Eady Stokes and Grandparents: Henry Eady Sr, Ruby Hicks Eady, and Roosevelt Stokes Sr.

Funeral services for Mrs. Latasha Eady Berrien will be on Saturday December 11, 2010, 11:00 a.m. from the sanctuary of New Birth Church Ministries, 2400 North Forrest Street, Valdosta. Pastor Frank L. Carter, Sr. will be officiating and interment will follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Godfrey Funeral Home, 636 River Street, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening.
