Mrs. Latressa Denson Spates

August 4, 1970 — February 28, 2016

Latressa Annette Denson Spates was born August 4, 1970 in Valdosta, GA, to the late Mrs. Savannah Williams Page.

She received her education in the Lowndes County School System.

Latressa was a lovable and caring person. Her radiant smile would light up a room. Her laughter was a source of joy to all those around her. Latressa was kind and compassionate. She was always willing to lend a helping hand. She showed herself friendly to everyone she came in contact with. Her inner beauty, like a bright sunshiny day, warmed the hearts of her family and friends.

On Sunday, February 28, 2016, there was a journey that Latressa had to take where each must go alone. It’s all a part of the Master’s plan—a step on the road to our eternal home.

In addition to her mother, Latressa is preceded in death by her grandparents: Frank and Geneva Owens and two uncles: Freddie Owens and Robert Owens.

Latressa leaves to cherish precious memories: her husband of over twenty years whom she loved dearly: James Spates of Valdosta, GA; three special children: Santana Page, Ignicia Page, and Josepha Page, all of Valdosta, GA; one sister: Christina James (Kendrick) of South Carolina; three brothers: Annanias Denson Jr. and Edward Page, Jr., both of Valdosta, GA and Alan Denson (Angela) of Tallahassee, FL; father and mother-in-law: Rev. Freddie Spates, Sr. (Margaret); one aunt: Phyllis Owens; three sisters-in-law: Mary Cleary, Cynthia David (Cleveland), and Barbara Oliver (Robert); her nine brothers-in-law: Anthony Spates (Lillie), Freddie Spates, Jr. (Rosetta), Archie Spates, Sr. (Ida), Artez Spates, Levander King (Gail), Bishop Glen King (Mary), Timothy King (Delois), Jesse King (Nicole), and Jermaine King; special friend: Cassandra Tillman; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
