Mrs. Lillie Pearl Barner

February 9, 1939 — July 18, 2015

Lillie Pearl Barner was born February 09, 1939 in Valdosta, GA to the late Andrew Adams, Sr. and the late Lucy Adams Morrow.

Lillie Pearl was a strong virtuous woman. She was loving and energetic and full of life.

A true Proverbs 31 woman, she willingly worked with her hands. She was employed by Nabisco as a Quality Control Manager for several years, JC Penney as a Floor Supervisor for 13years, and Wal-Mart as HR Manager for 9years. She was also an instructor for Riley Institute and a member of the Chamber of Commerce.

A true Titus 2 woman, Lillie Pearl loved her husband, Rev. Albert D. Barber, Sr. and supported him as he pastored four churches. She later joined Christian Love Bible Baptist Church.

On Saturday, July 18, 2015, God wrapped His arms around her and whispered, “come to me.”

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters: Louvenia Spencer, Ida Mae Beckwith, Maggie Eason, Arnace Peeples, and Lee Bell Liles; six brothers: Wesley Adams, Elbert Adams, Louis Adams, John Adams, Ben Adams, and Sonny Adams.

Lillie Pearl leaves her legacy of strength to her husband of 48 years: Rev. Albert D. Barner, Sr.; four children: Gregory Adams (Angie) of Leesburg, VA, Sherrie Foster of Valdosta, GA, Luci Wright (Wayne) of Valdosta, GA, and Albert D. Barner, Jr. (Maggie) of Sacramento, CA; two brothers: Andrew Adams, Jr. and James Adams; three sisters in-law: Ruby Barner, Linda Barner, and Donnis Barner; two brothers in-law: John Barner (Viginia) and Robert Barner (Barbara); thirteen grandchildren whom she loved dearly: Tierra, Darius, Keilah, Summer, Alyssa, Autumn, Krystian, Chris, Albert III, Justin, Brian, Candice, and Alexanria; her seven precious great-grandchildren: Darius Jr., Jameiah, Jeremiah, Brooklynn R., Zoe, Janiah, and Brooklynn; special nieces and nephews: David, Kenny, Curtis, Angela, Willie Mack, Solina, Dorothy, Tomiko, Berlinda, Tommy, Gloria Jean, Annie “Cookie”, Geraldine, Bobbie, Tammara, Sharon, Aretha, Debra, Anthony, Bonnie, Betty and Gail; special cousin: Rita Tucker; special friends: Ben and Cleo Pickett; and a host of family and friends.

The celebration of life for the late Mrs. Lillie Pearl Barner will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 3:00pm from the sanctuary of Christian Love Bible Baptist Church.

Jimmy Boyd is the pastor.

Albert Barner, Jr. will be the eulogist.

Interment will follow in the Pallbearers Cemetery.
