A Time to Be Born…

Born on August 3, 1929 in Thomas County (Thomasville) GA to the late Preely and Marie Warren.

A Time to Grow…

Mrs. Moorehead, a beautiful soul inside and out, lived a happy life. She enjoyed life beginning with a happy childhood at home with her parents and siblings. They taught her to love and serve God when she was a child. As a teen and young adult, she graduated from Thomas County Schools. Soon afterwards, she met the love of her life, Cleveland Moorehead Sr., and became the mother of six children. Mrs. Moorehead was employed with Valdosta City Schools in the Food Nutrition Dept. until she retired. She was a wife, mother, sister, and a friend to all. Mrs. Moorehead believed in helping and serving others. Her life was centered around her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, baking, taking care of her flowers, sitting on her porch and her crossword puzzles. She shared her love with all those who had the pleasure of being in her presence.

A Time to Serve…

Mrs. Moorehead was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where she served in the Women’s Missionary Department and as a           Deaconess.

A Time to Die…

The mortal life of Mrs. Louise Warren Moorehead ended on March 9, 2018. Her husband, Deacon Cleveland Moorehead Sr; Son, Bernard Moorehead; Daughter, Delores Moorehead Mitchell; Son-in-Law, Charles E. Steward; Brothers, John and Thomas Warren, all preceded her in death.

A Time to Mourn…

She leaves to cherish her memories: Her Children, Cleveland (Sarah) Moorehead Jr of Valdosta, GA; Barbara Steward of Valdosta, GA; Phillip (Wilma) Moorehead of Valdosta, GA; Sandra (Ricky) Perry of Little Rock, AR; Son-In-Law, Keith Mitchell of Quitman, GA; Sister, Leola Warren Collins of Thomasville, GA; Sisters-in-Law, Norma Jean Warren of Thomasville GA and Lela Monroe of Santa Monica CA; Fourteen Grandchildren; a host of Great-Grandchildren, Great-Great-Grandchildren, and Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.


The Celebration of Life for the late Mrs. Louise Warren Moorehead will be Saturday, March 17, 2018, 11:00 A.M., from the sanctuary of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, located 709 W. Gordon Street, Valdosta.

Rev. Aaron Hopkins is pastor and will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.

Public viewing will be Friday, March 16th, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Godfrey Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
