Mrs. Louise Bass Williams fondly known as “Buster” of Valdosta, GA, departed this life Sunday, October 16, 2016.
She was born to the late Hamp and Sally Robinson July 24, 1944 in Naylor, GA.
Recognizing she needed a Savior at an early age, she surrendered her life to Christ and became a member of The Church of God in Unity. This little girl would later become a Virtuous Woman, serving God with all of her heart, mind, and soul. She served her husband, the late Willie C. Williams, her children, her friends, her neighbors, and all those in her local community with a gentle and loving spirit. Her love extended to the many children she fostered for over forty years. Louise used hospitality to minister to those around her and worked willingly with her hands by providing meals during the Dr. Martin Luther King Holiday. She was a woman of worth and beauty who possessed a great sense of class and style.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three of her sisters: Rosalee Robinson, Mary Nell Robinson and Marie Robinson; one sister-in-law: Willie Bell Williams; one brother-in-law: Rev. Joe Hickey; and two great-grandchildren: Jeremiah Gosier and Ali Gillard.
Louise leaves cherished precious memories to her five children whom she loved dearly: Henrietta Gosier (Lee), Randy Bass, Sr. (Cynthia), Barbara Gaines (Bernie), Gwen Bass and Henry Bass, Jr., (Fretta); her six adopted children: Kent Gillard, Sr., (Nicole), Lisa McClendon, Daniel Williams, Shelia Williams, Beatrice Williams, and Jericka Williams; three sisters: Eliza Evans (Clarence), Annie Hickey and Beatrice Rose (Robert); a special sister: Johnnie Mae Thomas; her thirteen grandchildren whom she adored: LaTanya Tillman (Joe), LaTitia Hart, Tawonna Bass, Keisha McClendon (Marvin), LaTashia Gosier (Clifford), Timothy Stokes, Jr., Randy Bass, Jr., Latrice Gosier, Jennifer Bass, Jarvis Stokes, Zaporia Bass, Brianna Bass and Iyanna Bass; thirty six great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter: Karmen Tillman; a special god-daughter: Sheryl Pressley; over 200 foster children she gladly received in her home; and a host of loving family and friends.
