On Tuesday morning, May 29, 2012, Mother Minnie Lee Baker Poulian Cushion, age 85, departed this life after fighting a good fight.
She was born on December 12, 1926, to the late Allen Baker and the late Ella Tillman Baker Jones. She is the oldest daughter of five children. She was a hard worker and whatever she had to do, she made it look easy. She was a Foster Parent for many years. She was an anointed and gifted Woman of God.
She received the Lord and Savior at an early age. She was a member of Faith Tabernacle for over 23 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Allen and Ella Tillman Baker Jones; Daughter: Cathy Phillips; two Husbands: Leroy Poulian and Jessie Cushion; two Brothers: Robert Jones and James Thomas Baker; and one Sister: Frances Jones Cushion.
She leaves to cherish: two Daughters, Ella Mae Scurry (Ray.field), Betty Thomas of Valdosta: two Sons: Leroy “Karo” Poulian (Elizabeth) of Jacksonville FL and Pastor David Poulian (Martha Ann) of Valdosta; 21 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two Sisters: Martha T. Smith of Valdosta and Christine Oneal (Rogers) of Gainesville FL; one brother: Evangelist Clarence Jones (Mary); Three special friends: Jeremy Henry, Martha T. Smith and Charlie Mae Barnes; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
The homegoing celebration for Mrs. Minnie Lee Poulian Cushion will be held Monday, June 4, 2012 at 1:00pm from the sanctuary of Faith Tabernacle Mission Church of God in Christ.
Burial will follow at the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Public viewing will be held Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the Godfrey Funeral Home Chapel from 12:00pm - 8:00pm
