Moses Madison

The heavens declare the glory of God as he blesses one with life on earth for a season of enjoying sunshine, experiencing rain, and returning to Him at the close of moonlight during transition from Earth to Heaven.

Our beloved, Bro. Moses Madison, Sr., has enriched the lives of family, church, friends, neighbors, co-workers and acquaintances for over sixty two years. He was born to Mable Madison Sirmans and the late Willie Johnson, Jr., on April 26, 1949. He was also privileged to have his life impacted by his step father, Marvin Sirmans.

Moses passed away March 26, 2012.

Bro. Madison was successfully educated by the Valdosta City School System graduating from the Pinevale High School. He was further educated at Valdosta Technical School in Machine Tool Technology. He was also a celebrated Vietnam veteran. He was occupationally active at SAFT, Valdosta, for many years in the position of a machinist. Bro. Madison developed his Christian experiences at the Mount Ararat Baptist Church, Valdosta, GA.
Moses was preceded in death by his father and his sister, Gail Coleman.

He was married to Brenda Montgomery Madison on July 2, 1988. They spent twenty three glorious compatible years together as a God-ordained unit. His blessed children are: Moses Madison, Jr. (Angela), Kim Vickers, Clayton Madison (Lori), Kimberly McNair, Karrin Brantley, Myron Madison and Quintin Madison.

He enjoyed being nurtured in the company of his several siblings: Cynthia Koon, Calvin Sirmans (Gloria), Charlie Sirmans, Margaret Moore, Valerie Nelson, Toni Booker, Edwin Johnson, Frederick Johnson and Adrian Johnson. He also had six treasured grandchildren: Clarissa, Ashlee, Hiram, Cerena, Malia and Jaylin.

The homegoing celebration for Mr. Madison will be held Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 1:00pm from the sanctuary of River Street Church of Christ.

Bro. Eric L. Cureton Sr., is the minister. Bro. James Morrison will officiate.

Burial will follow at the Dasher Cemetery.
