Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Psalms 116:15
On April 13, 1926, in Lakeland, GA, the late March and Mamie Miller announced the birth of their royal princess, Queen Elizabeth Brown.
Queen Elizabeth Brown was one of life’s most treasured gifts-her price was far above rubies. This virtuous woman was a woman of worth and beauty that only comes from Christ. She served her husband, her family, her friends, and her neighbors with a gentle and loving spirit. She opened her mouth with wisdom and in her tongue was the law of kindness. In her presence was much joy, humor and laughter.
She was a faithful member of Braswell Temple COGIU for over 50 years and was currently serving as the Mother of the Church of Fellowship Christian Center of Prayer under the pastoral leadership of her granddaughter, Pastor Angela Ponder. Queen Elizabeth served God with all of her heart, mind and soul. She sought His will for her life and followed His ways for she trusted in Him until the end of her days.
On Friday, November 29, the Queen submitted her daily prayer for the final time to her King, “Come on Jesus, go ahead of me and move everything out of my way that will hinder me”. Not only was her prayer heard, it was answered and the angels of mercy took her to the King.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Elder Willie Paul Brown, all of her children: Bishop Willie C. Brown, Evangelist Leather Mae Braswell (Deacon Abel), Carrie Mae Clinton, Ernest J. Brown, Sr. and Brenda Brown; and all of her siblings: Mattie Berrian, Mary Mae Berry, Notcha “Sut” Mason, Vera “Bee” Mason and Mable Lee Campbell, John Paul “JP” Miller, Charlie Miller, Clenzy Miller, William Miller, LJ “Red” Miller, and a special niece: Panella Williams.
Mother Queen Elizabeth Brown leaves to celebrate her rich life in Christ and royal inheritance, one daughter-in-law: Irene Brown; one son-in-law: Charles Clinton; fourteen grandchildren: Wanda Hall (Rodney), Pastor Angela Ponder (Eddie), Valeria Brown (David), Tina Everett (Stacey), Carrie Latrell Brown, Minister A.C.
