Anna Lee Hardy was born November 7, 1936, in Newark, NJ, to the late O’Neil Hardy, Sr. and the late Ruth Elizabeth Davis Hardy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and her son, Ruben J. Hardy.
Anna was educated in the Newark, NJ school system. In the 60’s, Anna rededicated her life back to Christ at Gravel Hill Baptist Church in Newark, N.J.
Anna worked as a selector/packer at ACME Metal for many years until she retired. Then she moved to Valdosta, GA, and joined Union Cathedral where she sang in the senior choir. After having multiple health problems, the Lord called Anna home on December 18, 2019.
Mother Anna Hardy leaves to cherish her memories, two sisters: Christine Koon and Tina Hardy of Valdosta, GA; two nieces: Patricia Hardy and Elder Darnell Hardy of New Jersey; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and other family and friends.
The Celebration of Life for the late Mother Anna Lee Hardy will be Saturday, December 28, 2019, 3:00 p.m., Union Cathedral, 1050 E. Hill Ave., Valdosta, GA.
Bishop Wade S. McCrae is the Senior Pastor and will officiate.
Public viewing, Friday, December 27, 2019, 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Godfrey Funeral Home.
