Mrs. Nadine Lewis Riggins

November 15, 1961 — July 21, 2015

Nadine Lewis Riggins was born November 15, 1961 in Lowndes County to the late Rhodel and Catherine Lewis.

Nadine was one of life’s best gift to family, friends and all who knew her. She was a giver of herself and would freely help those in need and considered her own desires last.. She was a strong woman who did not mind voicing her opinion when necessary and had quite a sense of humor. She was loving—a treasure like no other and truly wonderful.

On Tuesday, July 21, 2015, God looked around His garden and He found an empty place; He then looked down upon the earth and saw her precious face. So He closed her weary eyelids and whispered, “Peace be thine”.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son: Davion Riggins; three sisters: Evelyn Bonner, Carolyn Preston and Evelyn Nelson; two aunts: Mozella Bivins and Lillie Mae Copeland; and one uncle: Sylvester Mathis.

Nadine leaves to cherish her memories: her husband: Thaddeus C. Riggins; her four children whom she adored: Neosha Smith, Thaddeus Riggins, Aquella Riggins, Rhodel Riggins all of Valdosta, GA; three step-children: Taurus Riggins, Jervirous Riggins and Stephanie Wright of Albany, GA; five sisters: Doris Callaway, Emma Jean Bonner, Mary Thomas, Evon Lewis Watson, and Mary Fountain all of Valdosta, Georgia; special care-taker as well as sister: Veris Lewis Butler of Valdosta, GA; one brother: Virgil Lewis of Valdosta, GA; mother in-law: Johnnie Pearl Hammond; two special nephews: Jermaine Lewis and John Lewis of Valdosta, GA; a special niece: Katina Daniels of Valdosta, GA; one special friend: Janet Jones; three precious grandchildren: Junyla Miller, Jade Miller, and Tyneah Hayes of Valdosta, GA; two sisters in-law; three brothers in-law: and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The celebration of life for the late Mrs. Nadine Lewis Riggins will be held Sunday, July 26, 2015 at 3:00pm from the sanctuary of Southside Church of Christ.

Bro. John Iverson will officiate.

Interment will follow in Pallbearers Cemetery.
