Ophelia "Skeeter" Woods

Ophelia Woods, fondly known as "Skeeter", was born September 28, 1938 in Valdosta, Georgia.

The Lord summoned her unto eternal rest, Monday, June 3, 2013.

She came to know the Lord at an early age and was a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Levern Woods; mother: Ada Berrian; her only brother: Freddie Countee; grandparents: Robert and Hannah Berrian and a host of aunts and uncles.

She leaves to cherish fond memories: two daughters: Mary Berrian and Hannah Jackson (Grady) of Valdosta, GA; one sister: Anna Berrian of Valdosta, GA; two grandchildren: Latrica Richardson and David Brinson; four great-grandchildren: Jaden Brinson, Dylan Brinson, Jakari Graham and Madlene Brinson; a host of sisters and brothers in-law: Willie Mae Jones, Frances and Sammie Washington, Sherman Woods, Loretha Woods and Evelyn James; one god-son: John Lee Gray, Jr.; two god-daughters: Gloria Alexander and Eloise Bryant; two god-grandchildren: Miesha Bryant and Tiesha Bryant; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her St. Mark Church family.

The homegoing celebration for the late Mrs. Ophelia Woods will be held Sunday, June 9, 2013 at 4:00pm from the sanctuary of St. Mark MBC in Delmar, GA.

Dr. John H. Manning will officiate.

Interment will follow at the Harrington Rest Cemetery.

Public viewing will be held Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 10:00am-8:00pm at Godfrey Funeral Home.
