Pastor Susann Fleming Folson

Pastor Susann Fleming Folson , 62, was born November 18, 1956, in Valdosta, GA, to the late Mr. Herman and Mrs. Lucille Fleming. She received her education in the Berrien County School System. She later furthered her education at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, GA. Pastor Folson was a dedicated employee of Wal-Mart in Tifton before taking ill.

Pastor Folson was an outstanding pastor, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family and friends. Pastor Folson loved the Lord and stood on His word. She was a faithful member and minister of New Hope Apostolic Church of God before the Lord called her to function in the fivefold ministry as a pastor. She began the work of a pastor to the body of believer of Spiritual Life Fellowship Center of Prayer in Alapaha, GA, in 1992, where she served the body of Christ for 13 years until her health failed.

On Wednesday, July 3rd, in the peace of her home, the Lord declared, “Well done thou good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”

In addition to her parents, Pastor Folson is preceded in death by her husband, the late Mr. Eugene Folson, Sr., whom joined in holy matrimony on June 7, 1975, and a brother: Jamie Fleming.

Left to celebrate her life are her seven children whom she loved and adored: Eugene Folson, Jr., Charles Folson, Monica Folson Watson, all of Alapaha, GA; Justin Folson (Apryl) of Tifton, GA, Jason Folson of Leesburg, GA, Todd Folson (Renee) of Atlanta, GA, and Victor Folson (Paris) of Nashville, GA; her four brothers: Charles Fleming (Gwyneal) of Byron, GA, Lee Fleming (Jacquelyn) of Tifton, GA, Jerry Fleming, Sr. (Lamonda) of Alapaha, GA and Marvis Fleming (Sheila) of Alapaha, GA; fifteen grandchildren: Destiny, Daeshon, Lexis, U’ulani, Gene, Jr., Kierra, Ke’Asia, Keyunna, Austin, Shakyra, Jenzen, Jaxsen, Juliana, Jazmin and Jace; two great-grandchildren: August and Dominique, Jr. one god-son: Terrence Cheeseborough; her best friend: Vanette Edwards; four sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

The Celebration of Life for the late Pastor Susann Fleming Folson will be Saturday, July 13, 2019, 11:00 a.m., New Hope Church of God Apostolic, 15 South Moore Street, Alapaha, GA.

Dr. Rosia Knighton is the pastor and Pastor J. Bernard Braswell, II will officiate.

Public viewing, Friday, July 12, 2019, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Godfrey Funeral Home and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at New Hope Church of God Apostolic, 15 South Moore St., Alapaha, GA.

Interment, West Fletcher Cemetery, 1902 U.S. 129, Alapaha, GA.
