Patricia A. Bradley Wilcox

Mrs. Patricia A. Bradley Wilcox was born April 6, 1962, in Valdosta, Georgia to the late Ulysses Bradley and the late Marion Lewis. She was a graduate of Valdosta High School, Class of 1981.

“Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.”

It will always be said that Patricia A. Bradley Wilcox was a virtuous whose value exceeded rubies. She opened her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue was the law of kindness. Her husband praised her for being a loving, gentle and kind wife. Her children rise and call her blessed. Patricia was a true definition of the word, “mother”. She nurtured her children with the love of Christ and trained them in the way they should go. Patricia created an inviting atmosphere of warmth and love for her family and friends with a gentle and loving spirit.

Patricia loved and served God with all of her heart, mind, and soul. She was a loyal and devoted Deaconess at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church.

On Friday, May 18, 2018, God looked around His garden and He found an empty place; He then looked down upon the earth and saw Patricia’s precious face. He put His arms around her and lifted her unto eternal rest.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandparents: Samuel and Marie Bradley, Lillian White Moran and Thomas Lewis.

Patricia leaves to mourn her passing yet celebrate her life, her husband: Carl E. Wilcox of Douglasville, GA; three children: Carla Livingston (Eric) of Orange Park, FL, Lacey Wilcox of Valdosta, GA and Eleanor S. Wilcox of Douglasville, GA; her only grand son, Ja’Koven, whom she fondly called “Granny’s Boy!”; aunts and uncles: Ernest Lewis, Amanda Carson, Shirley Thomas, Jerry Moran, Gary Moran and Earl White; special cousins: Eddie Mae Wiggs, Queen Robinson, Wanda Bradley Rhym and Latonya Wilson; three sisters-in-law: Patricia Burgman, Loretta Wilcox and Lisha Wilcox; four brothers-in-law: Richard Wilcox (Angie), Kenneth Scruggs (Lisa), Archie Wilcox and Tyrone Wilcox; special friends: Jeannie Tucker, Climatine Stacks, Patricia Rayford, Betty Wilson, Veronica Graham, Pam Rome and Carolyn Gordon; and a host of extended family and friends.

The Celebration of Life for the late Mrs. Patricia A. Bradley Wilcox will be Sunday, May 27,2018, 12:30 p.m., from the sanctuary of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 1051 Howell Road, Valdosta.

Dr. William C. Morgan is pastor and will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Southview Cemetery.

Public viewing will be Saturday, May 26, 2018, 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
