Ms. Patricia Lawson

October 7, 1968 — June 14, 2016

Patricia Ann Lawson was born October 7, 1968 in Hahira, Georgia to the late Rev. Isaac Lawson, Sr. and the late Mamie Louise Shepard Lawson.

She was a graduate of Lowndes High School and proud member of the Class of 1982. After finishing high school, she furthered her education at Valdosta Technical College and graduated with a Nursing Degree. She then began working with Dr. Acre and Dr. Morgan between the years of 1985 and 1996.

Recognizing that she needed a Savior, at a early age she joined County Line and was the church secretary. Later, she became a member of Union Cathedral and remained until death.

On Tuesday, June 14, 2016, God looked around His garden and He found an empty place; He then looked down upon the earth and saw Patricia’s precious face. He put His arms around her and lifted her to eternal rest. We know God’s garden must be beautiful for He always take the best.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her grandparents: Maybell Cotrell, Lorenzo Shepard, and Darcus Shepard; a host of aunts and uncles: Frank Shepard, Hayes Shepard, Alma Hailstock, James Shepard, Edmond Shepard, Wesley Cotrell, Clara Shepard and Melvin Jones, Sr.

Patricia leaves to celebrate her life to her sister and best friend: Gretchen Lawson of Cecil, GA; her devoted brothers: Isaac Lawson, Jr. (Amy) of Valdosta, GA and Frank Lawson (Shamika) of Adel, GA; three aunts: Gladys Jones of Hahira, GA; Helen Stokes and Authurine Shepard, both of Dayton, OH; one uncle: Clarence Shepard (Maria) of Dayton, OH; special nieces and nephews whom she adored: Isaac Lawson III (Delilah) of Byron, GA; Amia Brown, Sydnee Rountree, Makayla Lawson and Maleigha Lawson, all of Adel, GA; one great-nephew: Shamarion Lawson of Byron, GA; and a host of cousins, family and friends.

The celebration of life for the late Ms. Patricia Ann Lawson will be held Friday, June 24, 2016 at 11:00am from the sanctuary of Union Cathedral.
